In our previous post, we gave you a taste of our recent desert wedding inspiration shoot at Sacred Sands Bed & Breakfast in Joshua Tree, California. To give credit where credit is due, we owe a debt of gratitude to our wonderful clients Juliana and Brad who introduced us to Sacred Sands last year. They came to us with a crystal clear vision of an intimate, romantic desert wedding and mentioned they had heard of this lovely B&B just outside Joshua Tree National Park. We investigated for them, and Sacred Sands did not disappoint. This gem of a venue turned out to be the perfect place for a magical outdoor ceremony and celebratory evening under the stars.

Juliana is the type of woman who can rock indigo hair and Star Trek earrings while envisioning a first-class, five star soirée. Brad is the guy who knows everything about music and can play multiple instruments to prove it. They both deeply love the desert in general and Joshua Tree in specific. With such fine-tuned tastes, a great deal of care and attention went into their small personal details.

Those creative and eclectic tastes were also well represented in their food which included offerings such as rattlesnake sausage, mini Black & White cookies, and a wedding cake decorated with an actual buttercream Joshua tree.

But it was their personalized cake topper that really stole the show. We’re big fans of incorporating pet-babies into weddings so hooray for Lumpy the Cat who took his moment to shine on the cake topper!

The festive evening was rounded out in grand style as a 10 piece Jazz ensemble played well into the night.
