This week our old website, left up to help redirect stragglers as we changed over, will shut down forever.  Although we love our snazzy, geeky, comicbook-alicious new home, this feels a little bit like saying goodbye to an old friend.  In doing so, we’d like to take a little memento with us:  The Story of Rebel Belle.

Some of our past clients-turned-friends have asked what happened to this story that told of the fairytale beginnings of this business.  Truth be told, Princess Belle is all grown up and has shed her previous persona in favor of her new badder, bolder self and the story just doesn’t suit her anymore.  That being said, it does still ring true to the roots and early beginnings of Rebel Belle Weddings and so it is this little piece of the old site that we chose to tuck away lovingly in this blog and keep forever and ever.

Happy Anniversary Christine & Kirk!  Three years!!  Three years since your gorgeous, vintage feel, jewel-toned wedding at the Moroccan/Casablanca themed Hotel Fig (unpaid plug: LOVE that place!).  What a celebration that was – so full of laughter and love, glorious color and groomsmen in need of chasing down!

The Millennium Falcon Cake

“So we ordered this cake…”

More famous last words have never been spoken in our presence.  When Dorian and Lynn told us they had ordered a Millennium Falcon wedding cake from The Butter End Cakery, we were excited.  Really REALLY excited.  But even in our wildest imagination we didn’t think it would have edible graham cracker “dirt,” or such incredible detail, or RUNNING LIGHTS!
